DAY PROGRAMMING
9:00 – 9:30 | Check-in & Socratic Circle
- Students gather in the Commons.
- Use Socratic Method to pose a big question connected to purpose, curiosity, or design.
- Set intention for the day.
9:30 – 10:30 | Morning Session – Rotating Classes
- Students rotate between different classes based on their assigned cohorts.
- Each class dives into real world, design-based problem solving.
10:30 – 10:45 | Morning Break
- Snacks.
- Outdoor free play.
- Opportunity for informal socializing and movement.
10:45 – 12:00 | Late Morning Session – Rotating Classes continued
- Continue hands on exploration and design within focus areas..
- Build toward product or prototype development.
12:00 – 1:00 | Lunch & Table Talks
- Family style lunch setup in the Commons..
- Table Topic to spark thoughtful conversation (e.g. “What problem are you solving?” or “What inspired your design today?”)
- Includes free outdoor exploration and movement.
1:00 – 2:30 |Studio Time / Classes Continue
- Option 1: Return to class for final project work.
- Option 2: Head to Refinment Studios (Design Thinking Studio, Impact Studio, Wet Lab, Mechatronics) to polish ideas, work on pitch decks, prototypes, or document progress.
2:30 – 2:45 |Transition & Prep for Showcase
- Students clean up and gather highlights of their day’s work.
2:45 – 3:00 |Reflection & Showcase in the Commons.
- 3-4 students briefly present or display progress on their projects.
- Share insights, wins, and pivots from the day.
AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMMING
4:00 – 4:15 | Arrival & Power-Up Snack
- Snack.
- Students check in and decompress with community gameplay.
4:15 – 5:00 | Enrichment Block #1
Students choose from rotating, problem-based experiences:
- Mechatronics Lab: Tinkering, robotics challenges, or Microbit missions.
- Visual Art Studio: Open studio time to explore mediums or finish art pieces.
- Culinary Lab (Ghost Kitchen): Quick cook-alongs or taste-and-create sessions.
- STEM+C (Wet Lab): Mini science experiments or coding sprints.
- Innovation Hour: Design Thinking sprints and passion project development.
5:00 – 5:45 | Academic Power Hour
- Homework help and tutoring in the Commons.
- One-on-one or small group support by facilitators.
- Quiet zone for reading or independent study.
Optional: Students with no homework may continue project work or explore logic games and STEM puzzles
5:45 – 6:15 | Enrichment Block #2
New sessions or a continuation of earlier projects, including:
- Production Studio: Video editing, podcast creation, or green screen magic.
- eSports & Strategy Games: Supervised play with reflection on teamwork and tactics.
- Think Tank: Debate club, storytelling, or leadership labs.
6:15 – 6:45 |Show & Reflect
- Small group share-outs or gallery walks..
- Optional peer showcase, mini pitch sessions, or reflection journals.
- Use of digital portfolios or Post-It reflections on the “Wall of Wonder.”.
6:45 – 7:00 |Wind Down & Dismissal
- Community circle: “What did you discover today?”.
- Intentions for tomorrow.
- Calm music, cleanups, and goodbyes.
