(9:00 AM – 3:00 PM)


1. Design Thinking & Innovation

      • Students gather in the Commons.
      • Use Socratic Method to pose a big question connected to purpose, curiosity, or design.
      • Set intention for the day.

2. Creative Exploration & Artistic Expression

      • Students rotate between different classes based on their assigned cohorts.
      • Each class dives into real world, design-based problem solving.

3. Culinary Science & Nutrition Awareness

      • Practice safe and healthy cooking techniques.
      • Explore the science behind food through hands-on culinary experiments.
      • Understand how food choices affect wellness, culture and sustainability.

4. Technical Proficiency in Mechatronics & STEM

      • Build basic to intermediate competency in robotics, electronics, and coding using tools like Microbits and 3D printers.
      • Apply scientific and mathematical principles to build and refine physical prototypes.
      • Collaborate using industry tools like SCRUM and Business Model Canvas.

5. Collaboration & Communication

      • Work effectively in diverse teams using respectful communication and active listening.
      • Share progress and receive feedback constructively.
      • Lead and support peers during group projects and team challenges.

6. Purpose, Passion & Personal Agency

      • Identify interests and strengths through project-based learning and reflection.
      • Set personal goals aligned with UN Global Goals or local community needs.
      • Reflect on daily growth, mindset and discoveries during showcase sessions.

AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMMING LEARNING GOALS

1. Academic Support & Growth

      • Strengthen understanding of core academic subjects through targeted support and tutoring.
      • Develop study habits, time management, and self-advocacy skills.
      • Complete homework with accuracy and independence.

2. Extended Enrichment & Passion Projects

      • Explore interests in a low-pressure, creative environment.
      • Deepen skills in mechatronics, video production, visual arts, eSports, and culinary arts.
      • Continue or initiate personal projects that may be showcased or pitched.

3. Creative Thinking & Problem Solving

      • Engage in logic games, design challenges, or coding puzzles to build problem-solving stamina.
      • Develop flexible thinking and resilience through trial and error
      • Reflect on learning through journaling, peer review, and presentations.

    4. Leadership & Voice

        • Practice leadership by facilitating group activities or mentoring peers.
        • Participate in Think Tank discussions to build confidence in public speaking and critical thinking.
