Internship Descriptions

 

1. Teacher Interns (Education Majors)

Teacher interns will support our educational programs by assisting instructors in lesson planning, classroom management, and student engagement. Responsibilities include leading camp activities, creating instructional materials, and contributing to curriculum development. This internship is ideal for aspiring educators seeking hands-on experience in innovative teaching methodologies.

 

2. Camp Director Intern (Senior Business Major)

The Camp Director intern will oversee operations for Innovus seasonal camps. Responsibilities include managing schedules, coordinating with staff, ensuring participant satisfaction, and implementing strategic plans for program growth. This role is perfect for a senior-level business student who wants to develop leadership, organizational, and operational management skills.

 

3. PR Intern (Communication Majors)

The PR intern will support Innovus’s marketing and public relations efforts, including creating promotional materials, managing social media accounts, and assisting with event planning. Interns will also engage with the community, write press releases, and contribute to branding strategies. This role is ideal for communication majors passionate about storytelling and brand representation.

 

4. Art Interns (Design Majors)

Art interns will assist in designing materials for Innovus programs, including posters, digital media, and workshop visuals. They will collaborate on projects involving graphic design, multimedia, and art installations, ensuring a creative and professional touch to our branding and events. They will use their expertise to teach the curriculum designed for our summer camps. This internship is perfect for design majors seeking to build their portfolios.

 

5. Computer Engineering, Engineering, IT Interns (Engineering or IT Majors)

Engineering and IT interns will work on projects related to programming, robotics, and technology innovation camps. Responsibilities include maintaining tech infrastructure, teaching campers how to develop prototypes, and collaborate on STEM-related projects. This role is ideal for students eager to apply their technical expertise in a dynamic, problem-solving environment and mentor the young engineers and tech students of tomorrow

 

 

6. General Interns (Outdoor Education, PE, Business, etc. Majors)

General interns support various aspects of Innovus operations, including program logistics, event coordination, and administrative tasks. Whether you’re studying business, outdoor education, or another field, this internship offers broad exposure to Innovus’s innovative approach and leadership opportunities.

 

7. General Application – Non-Internship

This option is for applicants interested in volunteering or exploring ways to get involved with Innovus Innovation Center outside of formal internships. Responsibilities and projects will vary based on skills and interests.
